Hello all and welcome to the third week of competitive league coverage in the Miracle League of Michigan. This Tuesday we got to see quite the performance from both the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago White Sox as they fought to crawl into third place in the standings and record their first victory of the season.

In a close fought battle, which saw several quality defensive plays, the Chicago White Sox were able to rally in the bottom of the fourth inning to seize the victory 14 – 13.

We also had another record set here at the Miracle League of Michigan when Caleb Derouin, catcher for the White Sox, caught a foul tip hit by Tanner Roland. This is the first time in Miracle League of Michigan history that a catcher has made a play on the ball to force the out. It was an incredible play (sorry Caleb for catching the end of it on camera) and later today, we will upload a post game interview with him regarding that historical moment.

I would also like to say excellent job to Devin Morrison who I was unable to get on camera. He made an incredible catch at shortstop off a pop up. He made it look very routine as he just simply put his arm into the air, tracking the ball and came down with it.

Zach Francis had one heck of a game himself with several key catches on pop ups and tosses from third to first base. He also hit a beautiful home run to turn the momentum around for the White Sox.

Travis Weinrauch hit a grand slam in the top of the first inning to get the Dodgers on the board.

Final note: Roland had an excellent heads up play when he scooped the ball up, touched third and then threw to first where Pengelly caught the ball off base and then quickly retagged it for the double play. You could see the excitement in the air.

For more information regarding the game, please check out our video recap below or at our valium jet lag.
